Lead researchers
- Professor Shaun Gregory: Received one of Australia’s largest medical research grants as co-director (Artificial Heart Frontiers Program) to develop the next generation of artificial hearts.
- Associate Professor Devakar Epari: Has co-developed a new orthopaedic fixation plate which has passed regulatory approval and is assisting patients across the globe.
- Associate Professor Paige Little: Has developed custom-fit surgical equipment for children.
- Distinguished Professor Dietmar Hutmacher: A global leader in biomaterials, biomechanics, medical devices and tissue engineering, he has translated his research into FDA-approved devices which have treated hundreds of patients.
- Professor Ross Crawford: A world-renowned orthopaedic surgeon, who has translated his research into clinical practice.
