Translational Science Hub (TSH)

The Translational Science Hub is a partnership between Sanofi, the Queensland Government, Griffith University, and the University of Queensland to explore the next generation of vaccines to improve public health.

The Translational Science Hub links Australia-based researchers with Sanofi scientists in France and the US with three key focus areas:

• Advance the development of vaccine candidates
• Optimising next-generation mRNA technology
• Enhance the Queensland R&D ecosystem

Clinical trials are underway with vaccine candidates in influenza, RSV and the world’s first vaccine for chlamydia – one of the most prevalent sexually transmitted infections that can cause infertility.

In 2025, Sanofi completed its acquisition of Vicebio Ltd adding the Australian-developed Molecular Clamp technology and Phase 1 RSV/hMPV combination vaccine candidate to strengthen its respiratory vaccines pipeline.

• Uses the laboratories and infrastructure of the University of Queensland, Griffith University and Translational Research Institute (TRI).
• The TSH was the first tenant at ENTRI in Brisbane and has offices at Griffith University.
