Lead researchers

  • Professor Mohsen Yahyaei, JKMRC Director: expert in modelling, optimising, and controlling mineral processing circuits using novel approaches and tools.
  • Associate Professor Liza Forbes: specialises in mineral flotation, with specific focus on flotation reagent chemistry, mineral surface chemistry and base-metal sulphide electrochemistry.
  • Dr Xiaodong Ma: expert in the experimental and modelling research on thermodynamics and kinetics of high-temperature materials processing.
  • Associate Professor Kym Runge: specialises in mineral separation processes and developing modelling capability to enable these technologies to be evaluated as part of a circuit flowsheet.
  • Dr Christian Antonio: specialises in the development and assessment of new technologies in the areas of ore sorting, ore pre-concentration and pre-weakening or ores.
