The teams at Coronial and Public Health Sciences are part of the government response to threats to public health, threats to the environment, epidemics, civil emergencies, criminal investigations and coroners' inquiries into reportable deaths.

We use the latest technology and methods to investigate and respond to public health threats, epidemics, civil emergencies, criminal investigations and coronial matters. We play a critical role in the government's response to epidemics, civil emergencies and public health threats.

  • Dr Amy Jennison—Applying whole genome sequencing to disease outbreaks

  • Dr James (Jim) Carter—Stable isotope chemist with an interest in food and forensics; Director of the FIRMS network.
