Centre for Children’s Health Research (CCHR)

Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service, Queensland Health, Queensland Government

Queensland Children's Hospital buildings with distinctive architectural designs, including one structure with vertical green shading fins and another with a patterned, perforated façade. In the foreground, landscaped greenery with shrubs and grass slopes leads up to the buildings. A roadway with a few cars is partially visible to the right under a lightly overcast sky.

CCHR is Queensland's leading research facility for child and adolescent health. Co-located with the Queensland Children's Hospital, it provides a dedicated space for translational research.

The facility houses wet and dry laboratories, dedicated clinical trial and research facilities and specialised services that support paediatric research. These services include the Queensland Clinical Trials Support Laboratory and the Queensland Children's Tumour Bank, funded by the Children's Hospital Foundation.

The facility is supported by research nurses, laboratory scientists and clinical trial coordinators, experienced in all phases of clinical trials and therapeutic areas.

CCHR is a partnership between Queensland Health, the Queensland University of Technology and the University of Queensland, and is governed by the Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
