The Queensland Water Modelling Network (QWMN) was established in 2017 to strengthen Queensland's capacity to model and manage surface water, groundwater and water quality through collaboration between government, industry, research organisations and water practitioners.
Through a coordinated program of research, development, innovation and capability building, the Network supported projects that improved modelling practice, strengthened collaboration across the sector, and enhanced the application of water modelling to inform planning, policy and natural resource management.
The resources developed through the QWMN remain available to support researchers, practitioners, decision-makers and students. These include strategic planning documents, technical guidance, capability-building resources, project reports, evaluation findings and a diverse collection of water modelling publications.
