QUT’s Centre for Future Enterprise (CFE) is a transdisciplinary university research centre dedicated to designing and testing possible future enterprises to progress economic and social wellbeing now and into the future.

Future Enterprise research inspires, informs and enables navigation in a fast-emerging new world, differentiating essential requirements from distracting noise. Based on the fundamental hypothesis that an increasingly opportunity-rich environment will require new enterprise capabilities, CFE research focuses on four themes including The Trusted Enterprise, The Paradoxical Enterprise,The Algorithmic Enterprise and The Robust Enterprise and the nexus between these.

Lead researchers

• Prof. Michael Rosemann author/editor of ten books and more than 400 refereed papers including ‘The New Learning Economy’ (with Martin Betts) and the ‘Handbook of Business Process Management’ (with Prof. Jan vom Brocke, second edition).
• Prof. Kevin C. Desouza is a Non-resident Senior Fellow in the Governance Studies Program at the Brookings Institution and is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the China Institute for Urban Governance at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and published more than 130 articles.
• Prof. Robert Perrons has published over 130 papers and is a member of the United Nations Resources and Energy Expert Group.
• A/Professor Anna Wiewiora has published over 50 articles in journals and conference proceedings across a range of disciplines.
• Prof. Marek Kowalkiewicz is listed among the Top 100 Global Thought Leaders in Artificial Intelligence by thinkers360 and is the author of the book ‘The Economy of Algorithms: AI and the Rise of the Digital Minions’.
